How did netizens react to the tragic scenes of Sisa?
Kapuso actress Andrea Torres received praise not only for her portrayal of Sisa in Maria Clara at Ibarra but also for how she portrayed the character during her most tragic scenes.
Andrea posted on Instagram yesterday a picture of herself as Sisa, with the caption calling out to her sons, Crispin and Basilio.
Netizens commented on the post, praising the performance of Andrea, mostly saying how she made most of the viewers cry with her performance.
“Masyado pong masakit!!! Congratulations Ate Ada!! You nailed it!! Seriously!!! Grabe lang!!!!” one netizen commented.
Another one also mentioned how she's a great actress and that she's the perfect role for Sisa.
Sisa is one of the characters of Noli Me Tangere and the generous and loving mother of Basilio and Crispin. She is known for going mad after her youngest son passed away while her oldest goes missing.
In last night's episode, Sisa started looking for her sons, Basilio and Crispin, after she returned to their house after being detained by the Guardia Civil and finding none of them there. She cried out for her sons, saying that she can't live on without them. The scene also showed the slow descent of Sisa into madness.
Some netizens could not help but express how proud they are of Andrea for portraying Sisa the way she did, saying how the actress bought them to tears with her acting prowess.
“Ang galing mo Ms Andrea...ramdam na ramdam ko sayo si sisa... You nail it the role,” one netizen commented.
“Ang galing mo po!!! Napakasakit!!!” another one commented.
“Mapabida, kontrabida, baliw etc.. hanep sa galing. Lage nasa puso ginagawa mo kaya kaming manunuod nadadala mo..” one netizen said, hoping that Andrea get more projects.
In an interview, Andrea previously thanked everyone for the positive feedback on her portrayal of Sisa, saying that it felt good to read the positive comments from the viewers.
“Di ko talaga ma-control. Alam mo 'yung parang kilig,” she added.
She also admitted that while it was challenging to portray the role of Sisa, she's thankful for the opportunity to play the role.
