Ashley Ortega as Kiara in 'Apoy sa Dugo': "Doing a mentally ill role is another check on my 'actors bucket list.'"
Ashley Ortega has ended her journey in the GMA Afternoon Prime series Apoy sa Dugo with a grateful heart.
In an Instagram post, the Sparkle artist shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from her portrayal of Kiara in the series, along with a heartfelt tribute message following the show's finale.
"As I say goodbye to this character, I do so with a heart full of gratitude," she wrote.
Ashley described bringing Kiara to life as an "incredible journey."
"It was filled with lessons, challenges, growth and unforgettable memories," she added.
The actress also expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout the journey and helped bring her character's story to life.
"Doing a mentally ill role is another check on my “actors bucket list," she shared.
"Salamat po sa tiwala niyong lahat! Kiara aka Angel, now signing off," she concluded.
The finale of Apoy sa Dugo aired on June 19.
Ashley starred in the series alongside Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, Pinky Amador, Ricardo Cepeda, Thea Tolentino, Patricia Coma, Larkin Castor, Cai Cortez, Fonzi, and Toniyuh.
