
Canadian-French singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne is the latest international music artist to cancel a concert in Asia because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Green Day postpones Asia tour dates due to coronavirus concerns
The "Sk8er Boi" singer took to her official Facebook page to express sadness over the cancellation of her Asia tour that includes a Manila leg, that is supposed to happen on May 20, 2020 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Avril said, "I am so sad to announce that we are unable to tour the Asian markets due to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus. My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out.
"Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy. You're in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon."
Avril rose to fame after releasing her multi-platinum album, 'Let Go,' in 2002.
She is known for her rebellious, punk, and rock style of music.
