In a bid to fight against piracy, GMA Networked tapped Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza to encourage Filipinos, especially those living abroad, to “Stream Responsibly. Fight Piracy” in a campaign ad.
The Kapuso actress encouraged global Pinoys to watch Kapuso shows on legitimate channels, especially on the official GMANetwork.com website.
“Doon po tayo sa legit. Bukod sa mapapanood nang malinaw at buo ang episodes, may English subtitles pa,” Barbie said in the campaign.
She added, “Makakaasa po kayo sa mas marami pang quality shows dahil sa patuloy na suporta ninyo.”
Barbie Forteza officially took her oath as one of the ambassadors of GMA Network's Anti-Piracy Campaign in February.
GMA Network also released new anti-piracy campaigns during the Anti-Piracy Symposium held on March 29.
The campaigns encourage viewers to “Stream Responsibly, Fight Piracy” which, according to GMA's First VP and Head of International Operations Joseph Francia, is being practiced by the network and within the network.
“Lahat po tayo kasama sa campaign na ito at within the network itself, meron tayong advocacy na maging part of the conversation, itong effort na ito, among our stars, producers, and even among the employees within GMA Network so may internal campaign tayo na ginagawa, bahagi po nito,” he said.
Aside from Barbie, stars of the upcoming live adaptation of the mecha anime Voltes V, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Matt Lozano, Radson Flores, and Raphael Landicho were also tapped to be ambassadors to fight against piracy.
