Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza shared that working with Megastar Sharon Cuneta in 'Honor Thy Mother' is a dream come true, revealing that the veteran actress inspired her to pursue acting.

Multi-awarded actress Barbie Forteza is living her dream through her new project Honor Thy Mother — a grand collaboration between GMA Network and ABS-CBN Studios.

In the family drama series, Barbie gets the chance to work alongside Megastar Sharon Cuneta, whom she considers one of her biggest inspirations in acting.

“Kaya naku, learn from me. Dream big!

“Kasi, mangyayari at mangyayari 'yan basta pursigido ka,” the Kapuso Primetime Princess reiterated.

Barbie also opened up about the story of Honor Thy Mother, sharing that viewers can expect an intense and emotional mother-and-daughter conflict.

“The story will revolve around our dynamics as mother and daughter, but this time, it's not your typical mother-daughter story. Kasi, hindi kami magkasundo, so there will be a lot of drama, a lot of hatred, a lot of anger, a lot of pain,” she explained to 24 Oras.

Meanwhile, seasoned TV and movie star Sharon Cuneta admitted that she felt excited after hearing the pitch for the highly anticipated project, which combines some of the biggest names from both the Kapuso and Kapamilya networks.

“I got excited, but first really, it was the story that was presented to me and it was over Zoom.

“So there were all in the conference room and there was a presentation like slides and everything. So, I was so impressed. I liked the story, tapos nalaman ko si Barbie — what an opportunity!” the Megastar shared.

“I have to say also, 'di ba ABS-CBN, GMA-7, Dreamscape, so it's really a big project. I'm very proud to be a part of it.”

For Khalil Ramos, being part of Honor Thy Mother also marks a meaningful return to television after his last series, Maria Clara at Ibarra, nearly three years ago.

“It still feels surreal to me. Unang-una, it's been three years since my last series that I really worked on, and to be here with such a powerhouse cast, some of the actors that I really look up to throughout my entire career.

“And finally, here being able to work with them,” the versatile Kapuso actor concluded.
