Sparkle actress Bianca Umali on her continued journey with World Vision: "I am able to express the love that I have for children, the love that my lola has bestowed upon me, and to express and to extend that love to the world and to know where I can help out more."

Bianca Umali is full of gratitude as she renews her ties as an ambassador of World Vision Philippines on Thursday (June 4).

Present during the contract signing were (from left to right) Sparkle Assistant Vice President for Talent Management Tracy M. Garcia, World Vision Philippines Resource Development Director Jun Godornes, GMA Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Legal, Human Resources, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, and Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo.

At the contract signing event, the Sparkle actress is thankful to remain a part of World Vision, where she can continue to express and show her love and help more children in need.

“Isa po itong biyaya na sa madami pong taon, nandito pa rin po ako kasama ng World Vision. I am able to express the love that I have for children, the love that my lola has bestowed upon me, and to express and to extend that love to the world and to know where I can help out more,” she said.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Bianca said that her commitment to helping children is rooted in the values instilled by her grandmother, Vicky Umali, whose unwavering love inspired her to give back to those who are in need.

"What keeps me motivated is my personal beliefs and the way my Lola raised me, mainly. Kung ano 'yung natanim kasi sa akin ng Lola ko, pinanghahawakan ko 'yun e. I guess for you to hold onto something, hindi kailangan na may mga malalaking okasyon. Hindi kailangan may malalaking reminders.

"The way my lola raised me is as if she planted a seed within me that doesn't stop growing. And with how much love that she filled my cup, sa sobrang overflowing no'n, gusto kong mai-share 'yun, maibahagi 'yon in my own little way. That's the purpose, that's the mission, is to be an Ate to more children, the way I was an Ate under her roof," she shared.

Bianca Umali has been an ambassador for World Vision since 2017.
