BPI partners with Tambunting Pawnshop to expand access to banking services
The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has partnered with Tambunting Pawnshop to expand access to banking services in underserved and community-based markets across the Philippines.
In a news release on Thursday, BPI said Tambunting Pawnship is joining its network of “May BPI Dito” partner stores through its BPI Agency Banking to enable customers to access select BPI services within their neighborhood Tambunting branches.
Customers can conveniently apply for BPI products, deposit to and withdraw funds from their BPI accounts, and cash out transactions at over 100 Tambunting Pawnshop Kahera ng Bayan branches, effective February 2026.
“We have always believed that the Agency Banking model is a powerful driver of financial inclusion. Our approach has been deliberate and strategic – ensuring that the right products are delivered through the right partners to truly serve our communities,” said TG Limcaoco, president and CEO of BPI.
He added: “We are proud to welcome Tambunting Pawnshop as one of our key partners, and together, we are committed to accelerating access to inclusive financial services and expanding opportunities for Filipinos across the nation.”
