Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, director of the highest-grossing Filipino indie film Kita Kita and the trending movie Untrue, directs the highly anticipated comeback episode of Wish Ko Lang.

In a statement given to GMANetwork.com, Wish Ko Lang Program Manager John Mychal Feraren emphasized why Direk Sigrid is the perfect choice for them.
“She was chosen to direct the reenactment of Wish Ko Lang, because she is one of the best Filipino directors right now.
“Her outputs speak for herself. She is really good at crafting characters and making them fully realized.
“Plus, she really empathizes with the stories of people kaya perfect siya sa Wish Ko Lang.”
The first episode for the return of Wish Ko Lang will tell the story of Joan, a mother who courageously took on a new job as a construction worker in order to provide for her family during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Joan will be portrayed by actress Chanel Latorre, who was completely grateful to have worked with Direk Sigrid.

“Direk Sig is an intensely passionate director who I have always admired.
“She is any actor's dream director who seeks to improve every performance per sequence.
“From this episode alone, I learned so many tips from her.”
Also starring in Wish Ko Lang's first comeback episode is Prima Donnas actress Elijah Alejo, who will play the role of Kryzia, Joan's daughter.

Elijah said that she had a great time working with Direk Sigrid.
“It's actually my first time working with Direk Sigrid and she is really kind and you can see her determination to make Wish Ko Lang's comeback episode a good one.
“She makes sure that we know our characters well.”
In an interview for 24 Oras, Direk Sigrid also complimented the acting prowess of the Kapuso actress by saying, “Nakikita ko 'yung potensyal kay Elijah.”
