Celeste Cortesi

Celeste Cortesi says her reign as Miss Universe Philippines has been an emotional rollercoaster.

Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi will be crowning her successor later today, so it's understandable that the beauty queen has taken to her Instagram account to look back at her journey.

In her latest post, Celeste posted a couple of photos of her with her new haircut. But the real meat of the post was in the caption, where Celeste took a look back at the past year of her life.

In the caption, Celeste shared that getting to where she has “was never a walk in the park” and that behind all of the “fierce walk, killer poses, and sultry image” was “hours upon hours of hard work.”

Celeste also called the journey an “emotional rollercoaster” where she was subject to self-doubt, self-criticism, and criticism, while also experiencing empowerment, growth, and self-discovery. She then thanked the people who have supported her and believed her, saying that she “didn't wear the crown alone.”

Just last week, Celeste celebrated the anniversary of her crowning, where she expressed her gratitude to the people that have been with her and supported her “unconditionally” and also thanked the fans and expressed her “joy and gratitude” at their love.

Other names that have sprung up as possible successors include Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinkcx, who has placed in the top five of the Runway Challenge and the Swimsuit Challenge, and Miss Eastern Samar Airrish Ramos, who placed in the top five of the Photoshoot Challenge and in the top three of the National Costume competition.
