It truly is the end of an era as current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi has debuted a new look, just two days before the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night on May 13.
On a post on her Instagram account, Celeste posted a couple of photos of her sporting a noticeably shorter hairstyle, especially when the beauty queen has been known for the long hair she has sported throughout her reign as Miss Universe Philippines. In the caption to the post, Celeste simply wrote “Change is good.”
Celeste's new hairdo comes just a week after she celebrated the anniversary of her crowning in an Instagram post. She thanked her team for supporting her “unconditionally,” and also expressed her “joy and gratitude” at her fans' love.
Meanwhile, the queens vying for Celeste's crown have just finished competing in the pageant's preliminaries yesterday, May 10. They also attended the Miss Universe 2023 Fashion and Charity Gala that had Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel as a special guest.
Some of the names that have emerged as possible successors to Celeste include Miss Agusan del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Miss Bulacan Princess Anne Ramos, and Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto, who have placed in the top five of the Photoshoot Challenge, Swimsuit Challenge, and the Runway Challenge.
Other names that have sprung up as possible successors include Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinkcx, who has placed in the top five of the Runway Challenge and the Swimsuit Challenge, and Miss Eastern Samar Airrish Ramos, who placed in the top five of the Photoshoot Challenge and in the top three of the National Costume competition.
