Centerstage contestant Velle Sigua is already venturing into his small yet purpose-driven business by selling face masks, which have become an important but scarce commodity in the time of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
In his recent Centerstage stint, Velle revealed that he decided to sell hand-made face masks in order to help his schoolmates protect themselves from contracting the virus.
“Kasi po nu'ng nawawalan ng mga face mask po sa mga stores po, ginawan po kami ng lola ko. Tinahian niya po kami ng mga sample. Tapos naisip ko po na gagawa pa po siya para itinda ko po sa school kasi po nauubos na po 'yung mga face mask,” said the kid-trepreneur.
Aside from that, the Angeles City bet also shared that he's been finding ways to earn money to buy another flower horn fish in replacement of his previous fish pet Fishy, which died last year after seven years of taking care of it. “Kasi po 'yun pong pet ko na isda po na flower horn, namatay po siya last year.”
But Velle didn't know that he's in for a treat as Centerstage vowed to gift the singer-kid-trepreneur a new pet fish.
Overjoyed, Velle thanked the show's host Asia's Multimedia Star Aden Richards who unveiled the surprise, and the Centerstage judges Concert Queen Pops Fernandez, renowned musical director Mel Villena, and Kapuso vocal powerhouse Aicelle Santos.
Although he failed to take the Ultimate Centerstage from the now first-ever grand finalist Rain Barquin, Velle was still grateful for the opportunity that the show has given him.
“Grateful naman po dahil nakakuha po ako ng opportunity para makasali po dito at makapunta po sa round (final round) na 'yon,” he told Centerstage journey host Betong Sumaya.
Centerstage airs every Sunday, at 7:40 p.m., on GMA Primetime after Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko.
