Danica Sotto terribly misses her Mama Dina Bonnevie who recently celebrated her 59th birthday

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many families to temporarily avoid big gatherings, in order to avoid the spread of the highly contagious virus--and celebrity clans are no exception.

That is why celebrity mom Danica Sotto-Pingris made a difficult decision not to visit, for the meantime, her mom, Dina Bonnevie who celebrated her 59th birthday last January 27.

In her Instagram post, Danica wished her Mommy D a happy birthday and expressed how much she terribly misses her, especially in such an important occasion.

She wrote, “Happy Birthday Mama! I miss you soooo much!

“Counting the days until we all see each other again. Excited to bond and spend time with you... Sooon!! Love you!

The Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday star also thanked her children, Oyo Sotto and Kristine Hermosa-Sotto, who gave her beautiful flowers on her birthday.

“Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers, @khsotto and @osotto!!! I love them! I love you both so much too!!”

Danica and Oyo are Dina Bonnevie's children to ex-husband and Eat Bulaga pioneer Vic Sotto. Their marriage was annulled in 1992.

Last December 2020, Danica's reunion photo with her mom touched so many hearts, since it reflected the situation every Filipino is experiencing amid the pandemic

“We didn't get to see our [mom] for months that's why we are so so happy we were able spend time before they leave for Ilocos.

“[Three] days na lang and Christmas na! No big celebrations for us this year but we can still be grateful for all the blessings

“Minsan nga 'yung mas simple pa is 'yung mas memorable at meaningful di ba? Let's also not forget the real reason [why] we celebrate this special holiday.”

Kate Valdez, Dina's co-star in Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday also sent her well-wishes as well as StarStruck first princess Yasmien Kurdi and Bubble Gang comedian Kim Domingo.

The brilliant TV and movie actress posted a short video on Instagram to express her immense gratitude to everyone who made her 59th birthday a memorable one.

She said, “Sobrang overjoyed ako kasi, from my stepdaughter, to my husband, to my children…Sobrang overwhelming ang happiness ko for today. Because it's my birthday.

“I just want to share my joy with all of you.”

Aside from Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday, Miss Dina was also part of several successful Kapuso shows like Beautiful Strangers (2015), Cain at Abel (2018), and Super Ma'am (2018).
