Kobe Paras family

Kobe Paras on being separated with his family: “Gets lonely sometimes.”

It seems University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons star cager Kobe Paras is feeling the effects of being separated from his family amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

And with the number of COVID-19 cases reaching more than 626,000 yesterday, March 15, Kobe took to Instagram Story to share his thoughts about living away from the people that matter most in his life.

He posted, “Really miss living with family sh*t gets lonely sometimes.

“If any of y'all still live with your parents, consider yourself lucky.”

Kobe is the son of PBA legend Benjie Paras and former actress Jackie Forster. He is the younger brother of actor-host Andre Paras.

Meanwhile, Jackie Forster also posted this before-and-after photo with Andre and Kobe on Instagram last February. The side-by-side photos show Jackie and her two boys in Boracay in 2004 and 2021.

Jackie wrote that she terribly misses her children with her ex beau Benjie.

“2004 vs 2021 When your kids turn out to be as tall as when they were standing on the boat when they were younger 😭 Missing my giant babies! #familyftravels.”

Andre Paras fulfills PBA dream

Talking about Andre, the Game of the Gens host fulfilled his dream to play in Asia's first professional basketball league after getting drafted by the Blackwater team coached by Nash Racela.

Andre told 24 Oras last February that it's his dream to play basketball.

“The reason why I decided to apply for that is because I'm chasing my dreams. I've always wanted to play basketball,”

He also clarified during his interview with the entertainment press prior to the pilot episode of Game of the Gens that he has not made up his mind yet if he will give up his showbiz career to focus on basketball.

“But of course, hindi ko 'to iiwan [Game of the Gens], cause I'm very thankful [to] GMA-7,

“GMA has supported me with my decision.”

“So, I have the best of both worlds at the moment, so 'yun lang po.”

“And showbiz or hosting makes me happy, basketball makes me happy. And at this point sabay pa rin sila, so I have no reason to choose [one], kasi sabay naman po sila--both make me happy, but there might come a time, when I have to choose and I don't know the answer to that yet.”
