Jillian ward

Netizens show support for Jillian Ward over malicious controversies. "Laban lang Jillian!"

Kapuso actress Jillian Ward has addressed the long-circulating claims about her personal life, firmly denying talk that she has a “benefactor” or lives off a “sugar daddy.”

After staying quiet for years, Jillian Ward finally spoke up to clear her name in her recent guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

The 20-year-old Kapuso star addressed the controversy surrounding her luxury car and extravagant debut, insisting that she has worked hard for everything she owns.

According to Jillian, the gossip dates back to when she was only 16.

“At the time, ayoko pong magsalita kasi lagi sinasabi sakin, 'If it's not real, hindi mo kailangan magsalita.' Tapos every year, nagre-resurface po siya. Then last week, lumabas na naman po siya,” she recalled.

At first, Jillian admitted that she laughed off the issue until she saw the harsh comments online.

“Then noong nagbasa po ako ng comments, sobrang na-hurt na po talaga ako kasi sobra po 'yung pangbabastos ng mga tao because of fake news. So, it took me four years to speak up about it... Binabastos na rin po [ang family ko], especially my mom. So, sabi ko enough na po.”

The young actress revealed that the issue began when people questioned how she was able to afford a Porsche Boxster at such a young age. Jillian clarified that it was a second-hand purchase worth P1.2 million, paid for using her own earnings from an endorsement deal.

“May deed of sale din po ako, may resibo ako. My dad has it... Binili ko po 'yun with my own money, Tito Boy. Lahat ng meron ako, binili ko with my own money. With my own hard work money.”

She called the rumors about a supposed “benefactor” below the belt and emphasized that all her assets are documented.

“'Yung car po na 'yun, hindi siya kasing mahal ng sinasabi nila. Lahat po 'yan may resibo po ako... I'm very open about it. Alam po ng GMA lahat ng mga naging investments ko din kasi they're giving me advices, they're guiding me kung paano ko po maaalagaan 'yung iniipon ko, especially my parents.”

Even her lavish 18th birthday celebration became the subject of gossip, but Jillian clarified that the event was partly sponsored by GMA Network and several brand partners.

“Lahat po 'yun, hindi po ko sobrang gumastos, honestly. And nagshare din po talaga 'yung GMA... aside po sa binigay ng GMA, I paid for it with my own money,” she explained.

She also denied rumors that her debut was financed by a “sponsor” or that CCTV footage exists showing her with older men.

“Sinasabi nila... may CCTV footage. Pumupunta daw ako sa hotels to be with old men... It's not real,” Jillian stressed.

Jillian even challenged those spreading false claims to release the footage, as long as it's not generated by artificial intelligence.

“Nakaka-frustrate na for four years, I kept silent and I couldn't defend myself,” she said.

The actress also refuted the absurd claim that she has a secret child.

“Lahat po ng mga sinasabi nila hindi po totoo... I don't have a secret baby... Alam nila paano ako tumanda sa industry na 'to... Wala pong katotohanan sa lahat ng sinasabi po nila. And I'm very confident about that.”

When the issue dragged her mother's name, Jillian became visibly emotional.

“Sobrang sakit talaga, Tito Boy. Kasi my parents didn't raise me that way... My mom would never do that to me... Nananahimik 'yung mother ko,” she said.

She clarified that her mother is not involved in handling her money, and she wanted to personally defend her.

“Ako po 'yung nasa industry. Ako 'yung artista. My mom's just supporting me... So, I thought it's my responsibility to fight for my mom.”

Despite the toll the rumors have taken on her family, Jillian said she remains grateful for their unwavering support.

“So, I guess 'yun na lang din po 'yung thankful po na nangyari sa mga issues na 'to, na nakita ko po gaano ka-supportive 'yung family ko,” she said.

After years of keeping quiet, Jillian said she has finally had enough.

“Pero I decided... na it's enough. Kasi grabe po talaga 'yung disrespect because of fake news na wala talagang basis,” she added.

Clarifying Her Ties with Chavit Singson

During the same interview, Jillian directly addressed rumors linking her to former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, denying ever meeting or communicating with him.

“Never ko po siyang nakilala. Never ko po siyang na-meet. Never ko siyang nakausap, never po kaming nagkita,” she said.

“Hindi ko alam kung paano nila nagawa-gawa ang lahat ng ito kasi never ko talaga siyang na-meet. Never ko po siyang naka-usap.”

The young actress also denied claims that Singson sponsored her 18th birthday or served as godfather to one of her siblings.

“Hindi po talaga totoo. I never met him. Never po kaming nag-usap... Hindi po talaga kami magkakilala,” she said.

Once again, she challenged accusers to present evidence to support their claims.

“Kung mayroon sila nung sinasabi nilang CCTV footage, ilabas po nila. Huwag lang po AI. Hindi po talaga totoo.”

The rumors reportedly stemmed from an online blind item suggesting a special relationship between Jillian and Singson, something both parties have now denied.

Fans have also spoken up on social media in defense of Jillian, noting the actress has been consistently working for years.

Despite the controversy, Jillian continues to focus on her craft. She recently starred in My Ilonggo Girl and will soon appear in the upcoming Kapuso action-drama Never Say Die alongside David Licauco and Kim Ji-soo. She is also part of Gabi ng Lagim: The Movie, which will hit theaters in November.

With 15 years in show business, Jillian remains firm that her achievements and her success are products of her dedication and hard work, not of rumors or false narratives.
