Pinuri at pinasalamatan nina GMA Pictures President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes at GMA Pictures Executive Vice President Nessa Valdellon si Direk Zig Dulay sa malaking pagkapanalo ng Green Bones sa katatapos lamang na "Gabi ng Parangal" ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Sa isang Facebook post, ipinarating ni Ms. Nessa kung gaano siya ka-proud kay Direk Zig at kung gaano ito kahusay bilang isang direktor.

"Zig Dulay is our Best Director," sulat ni Ms. Nessa. "Quiet and humble, yes... but he knows what he wants and makes it happen.

"Zig pushed our actors to go beyond their comfort zones. In certain cases made them do scenes over and over and over again till he got what was needed.

"I was hesitant to produce this story because I was afraid it might be too small for the big screen. But Zig has cinematic vision and took the story to a whole other level."

Ipinakita rin ni Ms. Nessa kung paanong binigyang-buhay ni Zig ang "tree of hope" ng Green Bones.

"This was the original tree of hope featured in Atom's I-Witness documentary. And THIS [last photo] is what that tree became in Zig's imagination and in GREEN BONES. You make us proud Direk! Back to back wins and it's because of you!"

Ini-repost naman ni Ms. Annette ang post na ito ni Ms Nessa, aniya, "Thank you for bringing 'Green Bones' to life Zig Dulay."

Wagi ang Green Bones ng Best Picture, Best Cinematography, at Best Screenplay awards sa MMFF 2024.

Panalo rin ang lead stars nitong sina Dennis Trillo, na nakapag-uwi ng Best Actor; at Ruru Madrid, na nakuha naman ang Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Nakuha rin ni Sienna Stevens ang Best Child Performer.

Ang Green Bones ay official entry ng GMA Pictures at GMA Public Affairs, kasama ang Brightburn Entertainment, sa MMFF 2024.
