After months of doing daily field work, GMA News reporter Darlene Cay tested negative for COVID-19.

She announced the good news today, May 20, on her Instagram account where she posted the laboratory result of her COVID-19 rapid testing.

She said, "Breathed a sigh of relief. I tested negative for Covid-19 (using rapid testing) after months of daily field coverage. God is good!"

Darlene then thanked GMA for having the initiative to test their employees and providing them with daily transport service, food, water, PPEs, and other supplies which are essential for their field coverage amid the COVID-19 crisis.

She said, "Thankful to @gmanetwork, for testing its employees and providing us with daily service, food, water, PPEs, among others. Those of us who work in the field will also be tested every other week."

Darlene's fellow GMA News reporter, Saleema Refran, also announced that she is negative for COVID-19.
