Chanda Romero's mother is currently confined at Cebu Doctors' University Hospital because of COVID-19.

Veteran actress Chanda Romero is asking for plasma donation for her mother, who tested positive for the COVID-19.

In a post on Facebook, the Prima Donnas star shared that her mother is currently confined at Cebu Doctors' University Hospital.

“My Mother is now confined in Cebu Doctors' University Hospital due to Covid19.

"We are in dire need of plasma from Covid patients who have recovered.

“If there is anyone out there who is willing to donate plasma, please PM me your contact number and we will call you," she wrote in a Facebook post dated June 16.


On June 17, Chanda reiterated her call for plasma donation, “My dear Mother is in dire need of plasma from Covid patients who have recovered Please help us."

As of June 18, there are more than 2000 active COVID-19 cases in Cebu City, according to the city's health department.

Cebu City was put under enhanced community quarantine again due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.
