A 15-year-old boy died after he and a 19-year-old female companion figured in an accident while on board a motorcycle in Toledo City, Cebu dawn on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

The incident happened on the national highway in Barangay Ibo.

The 15-year-old boy was the one driving the motorcycle. Authorities found out that he had no license to drive.

Both he and the woman were not wearing helmets.

The two are residents of Toledo City.

Initial investigation by the Toledo Police showed that the two were coming from Barangay Poblacion when the boy reportedly lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve in Barangay Ibo.

They rammed into the metal guardrail along the road strong enough that the impact threw them off the vehicle.

They were brought to the Toledo City General Hospital but the boy was declared dead on arrival.
