Vanessa posted some photos when she was in the hospital and wrote in the captions, “Life can be very unpredictable at times, but one thing is certain, the Lord is always there watching over us.

"I left the hospital, but I won't be able to be reunited with the kids for awhile and that's the difficult part.

“Hope you are all doing well. Will talk some more about being hospitalized in times of Corona on my next post. love you all.”

She also clarified that her medical emergency is not COVID-19 related but she had an appendectomy.

An appendectomy, according to healthline.com, is the surgical removal of the appendix.

It's a common emergency surgery that's performed to treat appendicitis, an inflammatory condition of the appendix.

Vanessa wrote, “Btw, it's not Covid, I had an emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. Praise God that it didn't happen while we were locked down at the beach and that it happened when we were just settling back at home.

“Take care you guys being in the hospital during this time is not easy for both patients and front-liners. I experienced it first hand. Blessed Sunday to all of us.”

Celebrities took to Instagram to wish Mommy Vanessa a speedy recovery including Heart Evangelista, ex-girlfriend of Vanessa's brother Daniel Matsunaga.

Vanessa is married to photographer-businessman Jun Sunga. They tied knot in November 2010, at the Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa in Marinduque.
