After pregnant Kapuso actress/TV host Iya Villania and her second son Leon, it's now her eldest Primo who unfortunately joined them in isolation as he too also contracted the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

In an Instagram post, the actress detailed that “kuya's day 1 has officially started.” She also shared a conversation she had with her son who apparently felt happy to be reunited with his mom again while not really knowing exactly what hit him.

“Primo: (entering the covid ward here at home with a big smile on his face)

'I'm so happy I'm with you again, mama!'

Me: 'I'm not so happy love, coz that means you're sick!”

Iya also reminded her fellow parents to prepare their home battle gear against COVID-19 such as medicines, syringes, nebulizers, thermometers, oximeters, and more in case someone from the household gets infected.

By the time Iya knew she was infected, she, as well as her husband Drew Arellano immediately locked themselves in isolation to prevent the surge of infection within their home. Even with slim chances, the couple hoped that the kids would be spared.

Iya however said that she is now feeling much better and is now able to take care of her babies who are also in isolation.

At the inset of the new year, the Philippines has logged its highest daily cases tally. The uptick of COVID-19 cases has reached a record high of 34,021 cases as of January 13 and is still expected to further swell according to experts.
