So much star power in one photo.

Kapuso star Heart Evangelista and Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd are the latest cover stars of Metro Society magazine.

Last month, we first saw Heart and Brandon doing a photoshoot together in Los Angeles, where the rockstar gave the I Left My Heart in Sorsogon star a piggyback ride. Turns out the two were being snapped for their joint magazine cover.

In the cover story, the two artists talked about their individual journey. Brandon revealed that being an artist truly runs in their blood and that it was his mother who encouraged him to express himself through painting.

“I remember being a kid and not being able to talk about what I was feeling, and my mom would give me a pad of paper and crayola and say, 'Draw it. Draw what you're feeling,'” Brandon recalled. “My mom was a singer, she was onstage too but she was also a painter, and now I see it in my brother's kids and my sister's too, so it must be genetic. They are so creative.”

And just like Brandon, Heart said her mom also supported her in her artistic journey.

“I remember the movement from frustration and anger to pride and joy,” Heart said. “My mom would be mad at me, and I would get a red crayon and draw all over her walls, and instead of her getting more mad, she would end up saying, 'Wow, it's so nice!'”

The two artists also talked about how their unexpected art duet happened. Heart said she never saw it coming, but at the same time, she's really grateful that this opportunity came.

“I was not expecting someone to message me about my art. People always call me about what I wear. Nobody really asks me what my soul is for. I was really surprised and as artists, I think it's so beautiful when we can invite people to express their individuality," she said.

The “Wish You Were Here” and “Drive” singer then shared how he discovered Heart's artworks and why he's so drawn to them. Brandon said it was actually his girlfriend, Sarah Hay, who's a recently retired ballerina and actress, who introduced him to Heart's paintings.

“And initially I was really blown away at how effortless your work is; it looks like you've been painting your whole life to me and at the same time, I could see some influence of the Art Nouveau of the turn of the century."

“Which I really love and that's why I was attracted to it. I saw some of the same influences, the flow, and I was really enamored of your color choices! Really, really gorgeous, yup!”

After revealing Heart and Brandon's joint cover, Metro Society magazine also shared a behind-the-scenes video of their photoshoot in Los Angeles back in August.

Aside from their magazine cover pictorial, Brandon was also seen last month taking photos of Heart in a sexy, black bra top and jeans. Plus, the two artists were also spotted painting together in the same canvas.

Brandon and Heart have yet to reveal their art collaboration, but for sure, both their fans and art enthusiasts will be on their toes until their masterpiece is unveiled.
