Herlene Budol's 'Plan B' national costume, which she would've worn in Miss Planet International 2022, symbolizes the Pearl of the Orient Sea.

Herlene Budol gave her fans a sneak peek of her national costume that she intended to wear in Miss Planet International 2022.

The Kapuso star revealed that the creation was supposedly her "Plan B" national costume after her original costume called "Karitela ng Kalabaw", created by Patrick Isorena, was disassembled upon its arrival in Uganda.

The "Plan B" piece was designed by Marbin Garcia and symbolizes the Pearl of the Orient Sea, Herlene said.

It is intricately made with multiple layers of fabric, lace, appliques, beads, and tassels, paired with a bejeweled headpiece.

Herlene's manager, Wilbert Tolentino, decided to withdraw the actress-vlogger from Miss Planet International 2022 "due to uncertainties by the organizers."

Primarily set in Uganda last November, the competition was postponed and will take place in January 2023 in Cambodia, instead.

Meanwhile, after she ended her Miss Planet International journey, Herlene has gained a new opportunity.

She is set to star in her launching series with GMA titled Magandang Dilag.
