After winning by split decision, WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao likened his opponent Keith Thurman to American-Mexican boxer Antonio Margarito.

During the post-fight conference, Manny revealed that his opponent was tough to beat.

“He's very tough and he's young,” Pacman said.

“I can say he's a heavy-handed man, unlike any other opponent I fought with. This guy, he can fight.

“Keith is like Antonio Margarito.”

At the same conference, the American boxer admitted his defeat and also reasoned that it may be due to his inactivity to the sport for almost two years.

Keith said, “That's what boxing is all about. You just never really know what's going to happen.

“You know, obviously he was well-prepared and he was in shape.

“I tried to push him to his limit and he came out on top.

“He's been the more active fighter than me and even at the age of forty, that's probably the best thing he had going for him is the constant activity.

“He was fast, he was strong, and everything that Manny Pacquiao has been.

“He has a lot of it still left in him,” he concluded.
