Anne Curtis calls for donation as UNICEF works with DOH and WHO to fight COVID-19

By Cherry Sun

Anne Curtis encourages people to donate to UNICEF as the organization works closely with the Department of Health (DOH) and World Health Organization (WHO) in the fight against COVID-19.

Anne posted her request on social media to invite more people to get involved in battling the new coronavirus. The actress is among UNICEF Philippines Goodwill Ambassadors.

According to Anne, UNICEF does its part by providing critical medical supplies to the health workers and by disseminating correct information related to COVID-19.

Aside from her call for donations, Anne also reiterated the simple ways to prevent the new coronavirus from spreading. She reminded netizens to wash their hands, to observe proper etiquette when coughing and sneezing, to seek medical help when one experiences symptoms, and to remain indoors if possible.

She also emphasized the need to participate in proper communication and information dissemination to help in the fight against the disease.

She said, “Lastly, I would say to think before you click and share just to avoid sharing fake news, just to avoid panic. If you can, maybe you can regularly check the social media accounts of trusted organizations or visit their websites such as the Department of Health, World Health Organization, and UNICEF."
