Shaira Diaz joins Alden Richards's esports competition

By Ron Lim

Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards is adding a star to the lineup of players at his esports competition as Kapuso star Shaira Diaz has signed up as a participant.

Shaira was seen today, January 7, at the Myriad Esports Cup Masterclass, an event held to orient the participants in the tournament, with Alden himself leading the proceedings.

Alden first announced the Myriad Esports Cup back in November, announcing that the competition will start on January 28, 2023, and will be open to amateur league teams. Also announced was the P250,000 total prize pool waiting for those who succeed in the league.

The post also included a link to a Google document for those who want to register for the competition. Team members need to be aged 18 to 25 and be composed of six members - five people who will play and another slot for either a coach or a substitute player.

Alden founded Myriad Esports, a gaming video creator company that livestreams Mobile Legends games, last year, with its inaugural stream held back in August.

Back in September, Alden announced on his Instagram account that his company Myriad Corporation will be part of the Eraserheads reunion concert. In the post, Alden said that Myriad Corporation is his “newest business venture.”
