Are the rumors about Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley, collectively known as 'MikWil,' actually true?
The Secrets of Hotel 88 stars, Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley, clarified in their exclusive interview on the Chika Minute segment of the Kapuso news program 24 Oras that their photos from their recent vacation in Bangkok were not a “hard launch” of their real-life status.
Recently, Mika and Will traveled to Thailand, specifically the capital city of Bangkok, for a vacation where they posted several parallel photos wearing matching school uniforms while touring the country and enjoying a fun food trip.
This immediately drew reactions from netizens, who quickly speculated that the photos were a “hard launch” of their relationship.
During a block screening recently hosted by Mika for the film Huwag Kang Titingin, she and Will addressed the rumors regarding the matter.
Will explained that the visit to the country served as a day-off for both of them, despite their respective hectic schedules due to various work commitments.
“Masaya kasi kasama rin namin 'yung ibang friends namin, so talagang naikot namin 'yung buong Bangkok at nakakain din kami ng masasarap na food,” Will said.
He continued, “Kumbaga na-enjoy din namin 'yung day off namin after ng napaka-busy na schedule.
“Nakapagpahinga po talaga,” Mika added.
Asked if the photos they posted on social media during their trip were a “hard launch” of their relationship, Mika immediately replied and said, “Hindi naman.”
Will also explained that the photos he posted on social media were simply the result of following a trend that they found “cute,” which is why he and Mika decided to try it out during their visit to Thailand.
“Sobrang cute din kasi nung trend so ayun sakto merong malapit sa amin nung uniform na nagre-rent. Tinry lang namin,” shared Will.
