Jessica Sanchez to perform at Fiesta in America 2024 in New Jersey

Fiesta in America is the longest running trade and multicultural event in the United States East Coast that celebrates everything Pinoy.

Jessica Sanchez, the Filipino-American singing dynamo who dazzled US and the rest of the world in the 11th season of the hit talent show American Idol, is expected to attract thousands of residents, tourists, public servants, and businesses to the Fiesta in America Expo 2024 happening on Aug. 17 and 18 in East Rutherford in New Jersey, U.S.A.

Taking place at the American Dream, the second largest retail and entertainment center in the US, the two-day landmark event is a cultural and business expo promoting the Philippine culture, fashion, food, brands, and its top destinations. This immersive expo is set to attract over 60,000 visitors.

Jessica Sanchez will make the celebration extra memorable by performing on Day 1 and Day 2. The other performers are Shane Ericks, the grand champion of Global Pinoy Idol, and Bryan Termulo, who was known as the Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs in the Philippines before he moved to the US to settle there.

Aside from Jessica Sanchez, Bryan Termulo and Shane Ericks will also perform at the Fiesta in America Expo 2024 in New Jersey.

No one is more excited about the event than the president of Fiesta in America Expo himself, Fernando "Nanding" Mendez, who has been at the helm of this expo since its inception in 1996.

"Fiesta in America stands out as the only Filipino event in the U.S. that hosts a two-day business and cultural expo. Our primary focus is to empower Filipino businesses to thrive and generate revenue from our vibrant community of attendees,” says Fernando Mendez, CEO and President of Fiesta in America.

"If you're thinking of capitalizing on the growing Philippine market and the strong household income of Filipinos in the United States, this is the event to go to," said Mendez.

Aside from the performances from the featured artists, attendees will have the chance to learn more about the breathtaking vacation destinations across the Philippines, including Angeles City, Mati, Davao Oriental, Siargao, and Zamboanga City, as there will be booths and representatives from the local governments of these participating provinces. The city government of Siargo, in particular, has partnered with Siargao Bleu Resort & Spa, so they can showcase their tourism, retirement, and investment offerings at the event.

There will also be a fashion show by Carl Andrada featuring Philippine-inspired designs that celebrate the rich heritage and modern aesthetics of the Philippines. The pieces will be worn by the winners of the model search organized a month earlier by people behind Fiesta in America.

"Stewarding Fiesta in America is my little way of promoting our culture, our products, our talent, and the beauty of the Philippines," said Mendez. "Our mission has always been to connect Filipino entrepreneurs with mainstream business and Fil-Am consumers through a festival that highlights immigrant-centered services, Filipino products, heritage, and talent," he added.

For the older set looking to come home or relocate to the Philippines on their retirement, there will be a special talk, called Fiesta Dream Talks, at the Sky Suites beside the Nickelodeon Theme Park overlooking American Dream's massive water park. Topics to be covered include "Travel Trends and Tips for Exploring the Philippines," and discussions on how best to retire in the Philippines that will include valuable information for potential expatriates. Major sponsors will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with high-value attendees through private 20-minute slots, enhancing their brand's visibility and interaction with potential customers.

A People's Ball is also slated to take place on Aug. 11, or a week before the Fiesta in America expo, at the Marriott Newark International Airport Hotel in New Jersey. This annual event, chaired by Mendez's partner Laura Garcia, will treat guests to a special buffet dinner, live performances, ballroom dancing, and Empowerment awards recognizing outstanding Filipino-Americans in the US. In the past editions, this gala attracted influential leaders, entrepreneurs, social luminaries, and the movers and shakers in the Fil-Am community.
