It's Showtime host Jhong Hilario and his non-showbiz wife Maia recently looked back on the beginning of their relationship.
In an interview with content creator Meet Cutes With Johnny K in Salcedo, Makati, Jhong and Maia shared that they first met while working on the 2010 series Mara Clara.
"I'm an actor before and until now. She worked [on] one of the series, Mara Clara," Jhong shared.
Maia shared that she would read lines with Jhong as part of her job.
"I borrowed her jacket, and the rest is history, as they say," he added.
After 15 years together, Jhong and Maia shared that their secret to a lasting relationship is having “lots of fighting,” which they said makes their relationship “more exciting.”
The couple also shared their favorite things about each other.
"Maybe the small things that he does for us. Like, for example, he has to eat out with his co-workers or his friends, he always makes it a point to bring home something for me and Sarina, our daughter," Maia said.
She added, "So, we know he is always thinking of us even if he's away, even if he can't have dinner with us at home."
Meanwhile, Jhong described Maia as "very responsible as a partner and as a mother."
At the end of the interview, the couple also shared something they are looking forward to in the future.
"For the new house. It's gonna be our first home. Our first house. So gonna be excited," Jhong shared.
Jhong and Maia have been together since 2011. They share a daughter, Sarina, who was born in 2021.
