Kapuso journalist Kara David sadly said her goodbyes to her late fur baby, Kulog.
On Instagram, Kara shared the heartbreaking news of her dog's passing after a battle with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
"After a hard battle with CKD, our dear Kulog has passed on peacefully. His creatinine levels shot up to 18mg, equivalent to kidney failure. His parents also suffered from CKD," she wrote.
"He now joins his parents Spike and Gianna in dog heaven. Run free Kulog. Thank you for giving us joy for the past seven years."
Followers quickly took to the comments section to send their love and comfort. Fellow Kapuso journalist Howie Severino also expressed his support, sending a virtual hug.
Before his passing, Kulog had been under veterinary care for kidney problems linked to blood parasites.
On April 10, Kara decided to bring him home, preparing for the worst.
"His kidneys are severely deteriorated already. Alam naming hindi na siya magtatagal pa kaya mas mainam na iuwi na lang siya. Kung saan masaya siya kapiling ng kanyang mga minamahal," she said in a post.
Kara's last update before Kulog's passing noted a slight improvement, as he was still drinking water, though his appetite had yet to return.
