Ken Chan with Kapuso stars

It was a star-studded party in Ken Chan's restaurant opening celebration.

The night was filled with good food, music, and laughter as several Kapuso stars gathered to celebrate Ken Chan's seventh restaurant opening, the Deer Claus Steakhouse & Restaurant in Timog, Quezon City.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras, Ken shared how an advice from The Master Showman German Moreno, or Kuya Germs, inspired him to venture into business. He expressed joy in reaching not only his own dreams but also those of his mentor.

"Sabi niya sa akin pag-ingatan ko 'yung kinikita ko and as much as possible, kung meron akong tinatago, itago ko para in the future makapag-put up ako ng sarili kong business. Sobrang masaya ako kasi natupad ko 'yung pangarap sa akin ni tatay, ni Kuya Germs, ang magkaroon ng sariling business," he shared.

Ken added, "I'm very, very happy because isa ito sa mga pangarap ko, e, ang magkaroon ng steakhouse. Ngayon natupad na."

As tribute to Kuya Germs, the Kapuso actor passed on some of the advice to his co-stars, including Abot-Kamay na Pangarap actress Jillian Ward.

"Sobrang hardworking ni Ken Chan. Lagi niyang sinasabi sa akin na dapat hindi ka lang sa showbiz industry. Try mo rin ang iba. Mag-business ka for the future," Jillian shared.

Present Kapuso artists enjoyed the festivities, hanging out together and participating in an intimate jamming session. Running Man Philippines star Glaiza De Castro added to the excitement by singing some of their favorite tunes. Jillian also captivated the audience with her musical performances.

Kapuso actress Bianca Umali, accompanied by her real-life partner Ruru Madrid, attended to show support for her best friend and extend her well-wishes for his business.

"Masayang masaya ako para kay Ken kasi pinaghirapan niya lahat ito. At tsaka deserve niya ito pagkatapos ng lahat lahat mga pinagdaanan niya," Bianca remarked.

In addition to the successful opening party, Ken is gearing up for his Sparkle World Tour in Japan on September 1. Joining him are Sparkle stars Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Rayver Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, Jillian Ward, Betong Sumaya, and special guest Ms. Divine Daldal.
