Kim Chiu got emotional after reuniting with her younger brother in Canada, where she also celebrated her 36th birthday with a heartfelt family dinner.
It's Showtime host Kim Chiu recently traveled to Canada to visit her younger brother, John, who has been based in Edmonton, Alberta for 12 years.
The actress turned emotional upon seeing her brother all grown up and living his own life with his wife.
Kim also celebrated her 36th birthday with John, who prepared a special feast for her at his home.
Showing off his culinary skills, John cooked lobster thermidor, shrimp pasta, and several of Kim's favorite dishes for the intimate family gathering.

Kim later shared photos from the celebration on Instagram and reflected on how quickly time has passed.
“I still look at him as my baby bro… then he casually said, 'I'm 31 now.' 😭❤️ Akala ko John 25 ka lang. Trentahin ka na pala. Huhuhu😅 @alfa1charlie
“How did time fly this fast?” she wrote.
The actress also expressed how proud she is of everything her brother has achieved.
“Seeing you now, handling life, work, exams, your own home with @gill.rose._ and still making time to prepare food for my birthday despite all the stress… grabe, maka proud kaayo ka, John. 🥹 Super lansang na e cry gyud. Thank you John!🙏🏻
“Also happy 12 years in Canada, bro. Seeing you in your own world, happy and thriving, made my heart so full. Makahilak sa kalipay. ❤️ Happy to see Uncle too! 😇🙏🏻 #giftoffamily,” Kim added.
Kim Chiu celebrated her 36th birthday on April 19.
She has also been traveling around North America with actor Paolo Avelino for a series of shows for Filipinos abroad.
