American actor Lee O'Brian filed a counter affidavit against the deportation petition filed by his ex-partner, TiktoClock host and actress Pokwang.
In a video posted on the Instagram page of reporter MJ Marfori, Lee clarified that he always had respect for the mother of his child Malia and that he “always put the best interest of my daughter first.”
“I love my daughter more than anything, all right?” he said.
He then noted how Pokwang is very well-known and influential and made an appeal for the Bureau of Immigration to look at his case “fairly and with justice.”
“I'd like to say also, you know, given the fact that the complainant is very well known, widely known in this country and very, very influential. I am basically asking and pleading with the Philippine government and the Bureau of Immigration to look at my case, my deportation case, fairly and with justice,” he said.
He then added, “According to the merits of the case, and whatever I filed here, I would plead with them to look at it justly.”
Lee also mentioned that since the case is now a judicial matter with the Bureau of Immigration, he can't say anything else about it except that he filed a counter affidavit.
He then expressed his thanks to his supporters, “My supporters, all of you with me, I appreciate it and maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.”
Early in June, Pokwang, together with her lawyer Rafael Vincente Calinisan, filed a deportation complaint against Lee, claiming that he's using a tourist visa while looking for work in the country.
It was in 2022 that Pokwang revealed that she and Lee had broken up.
