Mavy Legaspi

Mavy Legaspi shared his experience on social media about returning to the court alongside fellow stars for the Bida sa Arena: Ultimate Celebrity Showdown.

Kapuso actor and host Mavy Legaspi is beaming with pride following the star-studded Bida sa Arena: Ultimate Celebrity Showdown basketball event, taking to social media to celebrate his return to the court and his collaboration with fellow artists.

In his Instagram post, Mavy shared a message of joy and gratitude following the basketball match held last Sunday, May 3, at the Mall of Asia Arena, which was attended by many, including his loved ones and supporters.

Suiting up once again in his iconic #13 jersey, he highlighted the joy of the competition and the fulfillment of playing alongside his teammates.

“Just glad to be here and rep #13 once again,” Mavy wrote in the caption.

Despite a surprising lack of minutes on the court, Mavy maintained a positive outlook, choosing to focus on the thrill of the competition and the pride of suiting up for his team.

“Not the playing time I expected & deserved but I'm happy I got to battle it out with team Sparkle,” he said.

He even shared a playful moment with Gerald Anderson, issuing a friendly warning that he'll be ready for a rematch.

“I got you next time,” Mavy playfully wrote.

Mavy also gave a special shout-out to his “blue hearts,” his dedicated fanbase, along with his friends and family who cheered from the stands.

“S/o to my loved ones, friends and blue hearts who came out to watch,” he wrote.

He extended his thanks to the teams at Wide International and the organizers who made the event possible.

Team Th3rd Floor, led by Gerald Anderson, took home the win against David Licauco's Team Sparkle with a final score of 96-89.

While Team Th3rd Floor held a dominant 59-38 lead at halftime, Team Sparkle fought hard to close the gap. Their comeback attempt grew difficult after David had to leave the game early due to a sprained ankle.

The Team Sparkle roster featured several stars, including Rayver Cruz, Andre Paras, Paul Salas, EA Guzman, Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, Anthony Constantino, Prince Carlos, Josh Ford, Kimson Tan, Mateo Monzones, and Ralph Miaco.

AZ Martinez joined them as the team muse, while Martin Javier served as the event host.

The arena was packed with fans and fellow celebrities like Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Mikee Quintos, Cassy Legaspi, Shaira Diaz, and Kim Ji Soo.

Also spotted in the crowd were Rodjun Cruz, Mika Salamanca, Vince Maristela, Cheska Fausto, Charlie Fleming, Jay Ortega, Raheel Bhyria, Ashley Ortega, Kira Balinger, and Bianca De Vera.

The event was made even more special with a national anthem performance by Aicelle Santos and musical sets from Julie Anne San Jose and Klarisse de Guzman.
