With the struggles she has faced in the past few years, Maxene Magalona is ready for rebirth and renewal.

Maxene Magalona shares what is the meaning of Easter for her, which is rebirth.

“This is a sacred time for renewal and rebirth. We are all capable of change,” Maxene said in an Instagram post where she shared photos showing quotes about what Easter is for others.

“There are parts of us that we must bury and there are parts of us that we must resurrect. This is the beauty of growth and evolution,” she added.

Easter is the Christian celebration to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The actress and singer posted a quote from author and journalist Janine di Giovanni, saying, “Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life.”

She also posted a quote from Mental Health Fitness manager Siobhan Shaw that says “The Easter egg symbolizes our ability to break out of the hardened, protective shell we've surrounded ourselves with.”

Maxene then continued that despite the process being hard and tedious, “no matter what happens, there will always be hope.”

“Keep going. Your reward will be your freedom and you will eventually receive your flowers,” she said.

She then ended her post with a “Happy Easter, everyone!”

At the start of the year, Maxene said that she has reflected on what she has gone through the past year and is trying to figure out her purpose.

In a separate Instagram post, she made a promise to herself “to live with more intention and purpose.”

She added, “When I asked myself what my intentions are and why I do what I do, these are the words that my heart and soul chose: Growth. Gratitude. Grace.”

Maxene has been fraught with challenges in the past years, including being diagnosed with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in 2021, and her split with husband Rob Mananquil last year.
