Fans of Kapuso drama are in for a treat at the start of next year as the network's latest action show, Mga Batang Riles, is set to make a splashy premiere. In fact, the show's cast is also excited to watch their upcoming show.

On 24 Oras' “Chika Minute” segment, Mga Batang Riles stars Miguel Tanfelix, Kokoy de Santos, Bruce Roeland, Raheel Bhyria, and Antonio Vinzon expressed their excitement at being named Action Stars of the New Gen.

“Exciting 'yung bansag na yan…para sa akin, tinatrato ko siyang bagong chapter ng career ko. 'Yung title na parang action star, ang laking responsibility rin, di ba?” said Miguel Tanfelix.

“Panibagong journey na naman 'to. Never in my wildest dreams na magkakaroon ako ng ganitong klaseng proyekto. Action pa mismo,” added Kokoy de Santos.

Meanwhile, showbiz scion Antonio Vinzon expressed his gratitude at being part of the project considering that his father, Roi Vinzon, was also known as an action star.

“I'm blessed po to be here sa Mga Batang Riles, bilang si Papa, naging action star siya dati. Kailangan nating i-improve 'yung fighting ko,” he explained.

Based on the 1992 film of the same name, Mga Batang Riles is an action drama series directed by Richard Arellano and stars Miguel Tanfelix, Raheel Bhyria, Bruce Roeland, Kokoy de Santos, and Antonio Vinzon.

The cast were also asked about what they see for their co-stars in the coming year, with Raheel Bhyria quipping that Miguel would get rich from cryptocurrency. Miguel, on the other hand, hinted at Raheel's personal life.

“Ang nakikita ko kay Raheel ngayong 2025, sobrang sasaya 'yung puso niya. Ano ha, romantically, love life," he said.

The Mga Batang Riles cast already started learning Filipino martial arts as far back as September.
