Michelle Dee

Michelle Dee is being true to her word and continues to make autism awareness her lifelong advocacy.

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee truly is a beauty with a purpose as she attends a meeting with a national organization that shares her advocacy for autism awareness.

Michelle posted several photos of her meeting with officers of the Autism Society of the Philippines, “a national non-profit dedicated to the well-being of Filipinos who live on autism spectrum and those who care for them,” on her Instagram account. In the caption to the post, Michelle promised that there are a lot of amazing things in store for the Autism Society of the Philippines. She also shared her happiness at playing a role in making the country a more “Autism Accepting and Inclusive Nation.”

This latest meeting is just the latest of multiple ones that Michelle has been attending with the Autism Society of the Philippines. Last month Michelle attended a meeting with the organization at Pancake House, Magallanes, which employs people on the autism spectrum as part of the Autism Works Campaign of the Autism Society of the Philippines.

Michelle has also taken part in the Autism Society Philippines' Angels Walk, even posting multiple photos and a couple of videos on her Instagram account.

Even while competing in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant, Michelle made sure that her autism awareness advocacy was also part of her Runway Challenge look. The modernized terno she wore during the challenge had a weave made out of different shades of green, red, and yellow. On her Instagram account, Michelle explained that these are the global and national colors for autism awareness.

Michelle first revealed her two siblings with autism, Mazen Marquez and Adam Lawyer, back in 2019. It was also back then that she called her autism advocacy a “lifelong mission.”
