Despite being hospitalized a few days ago, Michelle Dee is now 'recovering nicely' and is ready to get back on track.
After celebrating part of her birthday in the hospital, Mga Lihim ni Urduja actress Michelle Dee revealed why she was hospitalized.
According to the actress, she had to undergo an emergency operation after she experienced severe bleeding.
“They found that my uterine lining was filled with polyps na super dami daw so they have to remove it and cauterize it,” Michelle said in her interview with Nelson Canlas on “Chika Minute” for 24 Oras.
“Now I'm just recovering nicely,” she added.
On her birthday, April 24, after posting a series of photos and fun birthday updates on her Instagram Stories, the Miss Universe Philippines candidate posted a picture of her in the hospital.
With a smile on her face, she wrote the caption “brb” with a sad face emoticon.
A polyp is a projecting growth of tissue, usually from a surface in the body. While most polyps are not cancerous, types of colon polyps, as well as larger ones or those that are too many in an area, can be cancerous if not treated.
Michelle's doctors have already given the actress clearance to continue her Miss Universe Philippines activities, which Michelle said that she's now focused on.
“The pressure is really just with myself. I only want to be better than my last performance. I'm competing against amazing women. Very qualified as well, so at that night, it's all about destiny,” she said.
Aside from her showbiz career and rejoining the pageant world, Michelle is also very active in her advocacy to help individuals with special needs.
