Online fitness coach and former actress Michelle Madrigal shares how she manages her food intake especially during cheat days.
Michelle discussed the following in her recent vlog on the topic of food and fitness.
She admitted that she has cheat meals per week and believes in treating herself with food that she likes.
"I have one to two cheat meals per week. I treat myself from time to time. I don't overindulge."
Michelle said that she used to eat more than what she needs when she was still in showbiz.
"Dati ganon ginagawa ko especially during those artista days. Kakain ako good for five days and then on the weekends wala, I'll drink, uubusin ko isang malaking slice ng cake."

According to Michelle, she learned what works for her body and that is to not deprive herself with her cravings.
"Now what's sustainable for me, throughout the day I eat healthy this and that. If I want a treat, maybe one cookie, I'll eat it. I don't feel about it because that's just one."
She added, "As long as I eat good the rest of the day, and I still have calories left within my macros, I'll eat it. That's what flexible dieting is about. It allows you to eat the food that you like."
In her vlog, Michelle described what macros are about.
"Your macros are specific yan sa'yo. Your activity levels, kung ano ang base ng metabolic rate mo, how often you exercise, things like that. So my macros will be different from you guys. Your macros are your fats, carbs, and protein."
Michelle clarified that she doesn't look at food as the enemy in achieving her fitness goals.
"I don't have that bad relationship with food like I used to. Before, I would think of food as the enemy na parang tataba ako, bawal 'yan sa akin.
"At the end of the day, you're not limited to walang sugar, walang this, walang ganyan because that will drive you crazy and I don't think it's sustainable for most people."
Michelle said that the secret to having a good diet is not to deprive yourself.
"Hindi ko dine-deprive 'yung sarili ko. Yes, it's good, kailangan balance lang lahat sa buhay. 'Di naman all day every day or all week puro healthy meals lang, right?"
