Kayla Jean Carter

Miss Charm Philippines Kayla Jean Carter is competing in the Miss Charm pageant this weekend, December 21

The year may be about to end, but there is still work to be done for Filipino pageant fans and followers as another one of the country's representatives is competing in an international pageant.

In one of the more recent posts on the official The Miss Philippines Instagram account, the organization posted a call for Filipino pageants fans and followers to vote for Miss Charm Philippines 2024 Kayla Jean Carter, who is currently in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam for the 2024 Miss Charm pageant. In the caption to the post, the organization wrote that the votes could propel Kayla to the top five of the pageant.

Kayla herself has been campaigning for votes as far back as October, posting on her Instagram account a photo of herself and a graphic with a QR code that allows her fans and supporters to vote for her in the Miss Charm pageant. In the caption to the post, Kayla explained that the country is currently sixth in the voting.

The Miss Philippines organization had earlier called for votes for Kayla back in July, when the pageant's coronation night was set on August in Los Angeles. However, the Miss Charm organizers announced that it had been postponed and moved the date for the coronation night to this Saturday, December 21.

Kayla Jean Carter was appointed as the country's The Miss Charm representative in July, with The Miss Philippines organization calling her “one of the highest ranking delegates” eligible for the title.

“She was one of the 10 delegates who competed for 4 titles in The Miss Philippines. She was one of the highest ranking delegates who was eligible for the titles and agreed to be considered for The Miss Philippines. In the case of the Miss Charm representative, she also needed to already possess a US Visa in order to compete in the US,” the organization said.

Kayla took over for Krishnah Gravidez, who gave up her crown to compete - and win - the Miss World Philippines pageant.

Kayla is just one of the Philippine delegates that need voting support from local pageant fans and followers. Just last week, the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide official Instagram account called on pageant fans to vote for Philippine representative Justine Ong on the Mister International 2024 online voting. In the caption to the post, the organization revealed that Justine was currently in eighth place, but him winning the vote could assure a spot in the pageant's top six.
