
Aspiring beauty queens from Negros Occidental can now turn to a reliable pageant organization as the Miss Universe Philippines has named an accredited partner in the province.
In one of the more recent posts on its official Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization Kashmere Granada as the organization's local director for Negros Occidental. The contract signing was attended by MUPH National Director & President, Jonas A. Gaffud; MUPH VP for National and Global Search, Miss Mags Cue; and MUPH Director for Local and Asia Pacific Search, Arnold Mercado.
In the caption to the post, Miss Universe Philippines quoted Kashmere Granada as saying that the partnership is a “momentous opportunity for all the beautiful women of Negros to have a chance to shine on national stage”.
Negros Occidental is the latest province in the country to have an accredited Miss Universe Philippines partner. Just last week, the Miss Universe Philippines organization named Pablo Mendez as the Miss Universe Philippines Romblon local director.
Present at the contract signing held at The Vault BGC were President and National Director of Miss Universe Philippines, Jonas Gaffud; MUPH VP for National and Global Search, Mags Cue; MUPH Director for Local and Asia-Pacific Search, Arnold Mercado; and MUPH Head of Digital, Paolo Arevalo.
The accredited partners in Negros Occidental and Romblon follow the naming of Gerald Ortiz as an accredited partner of the organization in Quezon Province. The organization posted multiple pictures from the contract signing that featured Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee, then Accredited Partners Directors Joseph Rivera and Arnold Mercado, and CPT President Lloyd Lee.
In September last year, the Miss Universe Philippines' sister organization The Miss Philippines announced a partnership with Miss Asia Pacific International. The Miss Asia Pacific International was first started in 1965 as a Miss Asia contest before becoming Miss Asia Pacific in 1984 and Miss Asia Pacific Quest in 1985 before becoming Miss Asia Pacific International. The pageant aims to promote Philippine tourism overseas, which mirrors The Miss Philippines pageant's own objectives.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization also teased The Miss Philippines California back in August, with the group raising the possibility of the next Miss Universe Philippines being a “Fil-Am beauty”.
