Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol's call for donations is the latest show of support for her chosen advocacy.
Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyne Fourniol continues to walk the talk as she announces a new donation drive to benefit the education foundation she has been a longtime supporter of.
In her most recent post on her Instagram account, Gwendolyne announced the start of the #BridgetheGap #BridgetheFuture Fundraiser that aims to help out the ERDA Foundation, a non-government organization founded in 1974 and “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.”
Aside from accepting monetary donations through GCash and Paypal, the fundraiser is also accepting in-kind donations of school supplies, books, and toys.
This is not the first time that Gwendolyne has called for donations to help out the ERDA Foundation. Back in July last year, Gwendolyne made a similar call for donations of school supplies, books, educational resources or clothes. The school supplies were then distributed to the foundation's beneficiaries back in September.
Just last month, Gwendolyne also visited the site of the foundation's future Learning Hub in Baseco, Tondo to conduct an ocular inspection of the 25 square meter lot that will be the location of the two-story building.
Gwendolyne also distributed gifts and spent Christmas day with beneficiaries of the foundation and also taught them French.
Aside from ERDA Foundation, Gwendolyne also recently partnered with the Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP), a non-profit community made up of members from LGBTQIA+ resource groups and the human resource and diversity teams of Philippine private firms. Gwendolyne has already previously voiced her support for the LGBTQIA+ community on her Instagram account, writing that she “should serve as a catalyst for change and should not create division between us human beings” and that the “tenacity, warmth and persistence” of the members of the community have inspired her.
