GOT7's Jinyoung to start his military enlistment this May

Korean singer and actor Jinyoung will begin his military enlistment in May, according to a report by Soompi.

In South Korea, military duty is compulsory for all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28.

Jinyoung, a member of the popular K-pop boy group GOT7 recently held a successful fan concert in Manila last February.

Citing a source from the Korean heartthrob's agency BH Entertainment, which said “Our agency's artist Park Jinyoung will receive basic military training at the training center [starting] on Monday, May 8 and fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier.”

GOT7 debuted in 2014 and is composed of JAY B, Mark Tuan, Jackson Wang, Youngjae, Bambam, and Yugyeom.

As a solo artist, Jinyoung acted in several K-drama series like Dream High 2 (2012) and The Devil Judge (2021)

In January of this year, Jinyoung released his much-awaited mini album Chapter 0: WITH and its title track "Cotton Candy."
