Gigi De Lana repeatedly reminds followers: "Please be kind."
“Please be kind.” This is the plea of singer Gigi De Lana after she was scammed, where the money she was supposed to use to pay for her mom's medical bills were taken from her account.
In what seemed like a series of unfortunate events, Gigi related her experience how she has been scammed after she and her bandmates got involved in an accident.
“Please be kind. Simula ng naaksidente kami from car accident. ang dami na nang scam sakin. Ninakawan ako sa BDO kinuha lahat ng laman. Na pang medical bills sana yun ni mama. Kaso wala kayo awa,” she said in her post.
She added, “Sinabihan pa ako sa phone call ng “get well soon po kay maam gigi” tapos after nun ninakawan na ako ng tuloy tuloy hanggang sa maubos laman.”
She then pleaded for the scammer to stop what they're doing.
In the same post, Gigi also called out people who are claiming that she's “nag inarte” and posted a series of pictures showing her injuries on her arm a few days after the accident.
“Sa mga hindi alam na ganito kalala and hinusgahan ako na nag inarte ako. Please be kinder. Love you all still,” she said.
She then finished her post with a short reminder, “Please let us be kinder sa isa't isa.”
Meanwhile, with the money for her mom's medical bills gone, Gigi decided to raise the funds again through online selling. She posted a short video on her Facebook page to sell her iconic crop tops that she's seen wearing in some of the videos in their channel.
“Bid for a cause [and] get a chance to win Gigi's iconic croptops, as seen on the viral videos,” the message at the start of the video said.
The croptops will not only be signed and framed, bit bidding on them will also get the winner a chance to meed Gigi and her band, The Gigi Vibes.
“May mga bagay na mahirap dahil i-let go pero kailangan. May sentimental value itong mga damit na ito,pero mayroong mas importanteng bagay sa ngayon,” Gigi wrote in the caption.
She then thanked everyone who already bought and helped her raise funds for her mom's medical expenses.
