Actor Moon Junhui is back!

Carats, this is not a drill. The time has come to witness K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN's Jun and his impeccable acting skills as he stars in the newly-released Chinese drama Exclusive Fairytale!

After more than a year of waiting, Carats will finally be able to witness a different side to SEVENTEEN's ultimate performer and shy boy Jun as he takes on the role of Ling Chao in Exclusive Fairytale.

Exclusive Fairytale is a romantic comedy that's centric on the lives of childhood sweethearts Ling Chao and Xiao Tu (Zhang Miao Yi). It also stars Chinese actors Xiong Ao Bo, Cheryn Lin, Hao Zhu Yu, and Wu Luo Han.

For the most part of 2021, Jun had to fly from Korea to China to shoot the series and had to miss some of SEVENTEEN's promotional activities. Ever since then, Carats have been waiting for the announcement of the show's release date on streaming platforms.

This July, it has finally been announced that Exclusive Fairytale will be released on July 27, 2023, on the streaming platform iQIYI. VIP members of the application can get to watch all the episodes starting July 27. For non-VIP members, two episodes will be released every week on the platform.

If you're a busy bee like us, we recommend streaming only two episodes per week. But if you can't wait any longer, the VIP is a good deal. For those who have an extra budget, the VIP starts at PhP39 per month.

Although this is Jun's debut as a lead actor in a Chinese drama, Exclusive Fairytale isn't the first acting stint of the K-pop idol. In fact, even before he became a K-pop artist Jun is best known for being a child actor.

In 2006, he starred in the film The Pye Dog and even won Best New Actor Silver Award at the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild for taking on the role of Lin Zhi Hong. Other Chinese dramas under his belt are Intouchable, Da Ming Pin Feir, Children's War, Pearl Dragon, Who's The Hero, Drunk Red Dust, Go! Go! Daddy, Cross Border Daddy, Give Me Folly, and Special Police Dragon.

For the past few days, Carats have been going crazy over the teasers showcasing Jun kissing her lead actress Zhang Miao Yi. A lot of funny memes featuring other SEVENTEEN members have surfaced on the web and have kept us sane throughout the wait. Check them out below.

Congratulations, Jun! We are proud of you.
