In just a little over two weeks, Miss Grand Philippines Nikki de Moura will be competing for the Miss Grand International crown. But before she gets to the coronation night on October 25, she has to go through a number of challenges - and Filipino pageant fans can help.
The Miss Grand Philippines organization posted a call to Filipino pageant fans on their Instagram account, calling on supporters to head over to the Miss Grand International account and help Nikki win Best in 𝗔́𝗼 𝗱𝗮̀𝗶. Nikki's fans and supporters can vote for her until October 8, 5 p.m., Hanoi time.
The call for votes comes after Nikki's warn welcome to Vietnam. On her Instagram account, Nikki wrote that she was “grateful and excited” and that she was “ready for amazing adventures ahead!”
Nikki isn't the only Filipina pageant queen calling on the support of local pageant fans. Just a few days ago, the Binibining Pilipinas organization asked pageant fans to vote for Nicole Borromeo on the Miss International pageant.
The organization made the plea on their official Instagram account, posting a graphic calling on people to vote for their delegate. In the caption to the post, the organization called on pageant fans to show their support for Nicole by downloading the Miss International app and voting for her there.
Aside from Nikki and Nicole, other Filipina beauty queens are also competing in other pageants around the world. Kapuso star Michelle Dee is aiming to bring home the country's fifth Miss Universe crown when she competes in the 2023 Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador on November 18. Just recently, Michelle shared that she is giving her “200 percent” when it comes to preparing for the pageant.
“I'm giving it everything that I have, 200 percent of myself I am dedicating to my crown. Nililigawan ko talaga yung pang-limang korona,” she shared during her contract signing with the Autism Society Philippines. “I'm really training every day when my schedule permits. I've been working on different aspects of my campaign just to make sure that when I fly to El Salvador, 100 percent ready.”
Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol will also be headed to India in December to compete for the Miss World crown.
