Catholic Mass Media Awards honors Mike Enriquez's legacy with the Serviam Award
Multi-awarded 24 Oras anchor Mike Enriquez will be honored in the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards happening on November 23 as the award-giving body bestows to the late GMA Integrated News pillar the prestigious Serviam Award.
In August 2023, the highly respected Kapuso broadcast journalist passed away at the age of 71.

According to a statement released by the CMMA, the Serviam Award is a tribute to individuals who contributed to and conveyed Christian Values through media-based programs and projects.
This award was established in 2004 in honor of its founder, the late Jaime L. Cardinal Sin.
Mike's strong faith is an inspiration to everyone whom he had the pleasure to work with. In fact, his colleagues, Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales honored him by sharing in the “Feeling Blessed” Christmas Station ID that he is among the top donors to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Abandoned in Sta. Ana, Manila.
Vicky noted, “Kaya ngayon na nasa heaven na siya, puwede na namin i-share sa lahat na isa siya sa mga pinakamalalaking donor sa National Shrine of Our Lady of the Abandoned sa Sta. Ana [Manila].
“Feeling Blessed talaga kami na makilala at makasama ang isang Mike Enriquez.”
In September 2023, the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) also recognized Mike with the posthumous award conferring him the Makatao Award for Media Excellence.
Aside from the multitude of awards he received locally, Mike Enriquez was also hailed abroad. He was the first Filipino to win the Best Newscaster Award in the Asian Television Awards.
