
Firefly team is feeling thankful and blessed as they won several awards in the recent "Gabi ng Parangal" of Metro Manila Film Festival on December 27.
Firefly director Zig Dulay gladly thanked everyone as he shared his photo holding the Best Picture trophy on his social media accounts.
"Salamat sa lahat ng naniwala, tumulong at sumuporta sa pelikula. Andami kong di nabanggit sa stage dahil para akong nasa alapaap -- hanggang ngayon."
One of the actresses in the film, Cherry Pie Picache, congratulated everyone on her Instagram Story.

Firefly, which was produced by GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures for the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival, bagged awards Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Aside from these, the film's child actor, Euwenn Mikaell, also took home the Best Child Performer award for his role as Tonton.
On its first couple of days on the big screen, Firefly already earned positive reviews from Pinoy viewers who expressed how it surely touched their hearts during the holidays.
Aside from Euwenn, Firefly also features Alessandra de Rossi, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Max Collins, Epi Quizon, Cherry Pie Picache, and special participation with Dingdong Dantes.
