'Rewind' viewers share their thoughts about the MMFF movie of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

While Christmas is a relatively joyous occasion in the Philippines and joined in its name is the annual Metro Manila Film Festival, movie-goers cannot get enough of the emotions felt when they watch real-life couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes-starrer Rewind.

Star Cinema executive Mico del Rosario celebrated the fifth day of the film and shared on X his joy as people flocked to Pampanga, North Edsa, and Lipa cinemas to watch the film.

He also attached a photo of DongYan posing with the crowd who went to see the couple and support 'Rewind'.

He wrote in his post, “What [a] truly rewarding response!”

Content creator Rod Magaru also said, “Ayan! Ang sigla ng Philippine cinema. Achieved!”

Filipino singer and actress Angeline Quinto was in tears when asked of her thought about 'Rewind', “Sobrang naiyak ako [kasi] ang dami [bumalik] sa akin [na] nangyari sa buhay ko, so parang mas lalo kong pinapahalagahan 'yung time ngayon.”

She added, “Ang galing! Hindi ko keri.”

Angeline also took the time to congratulate DongYan's success in 'Rewind' and said on her Instagram post, “Napakahusay at kakaibang [istorya] na kapag napanood mo [ay] mas lalo mong pahahalagahan ang bawat minuto at oras ng buhay…”

Real-life couple and Kapuso stars Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose also joined the crowd as they cried at the end after watching the movie. They were seen doing a before-and-after look while watching 'Rewind'.

As of December 29, Marian Rivera also stays on the trending topics in social media platform X taking the 2nd spot with 17.5k posts in the Philippines.

Marian Rivera also thanked Kapampangans as they went to support the movie in SM Pampanga. She wrote on her Instagram account, “Payakap, Pampanga. Salamat sa pagmamahal.”

Rewind is an entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar. It is showing in cinemas nationwide until January 7, 2024.
