Barbie Forteza and David Licauco, grateful to each other as a love team
Kapuso love team Barbie Forteza and David Licauco showed off their chemistry in an online exclusive video of GMA's Kapuso Profiles.
During the interview, the celebrity pair reminisced about their unexpected love team, which started on a scene in GMA's fantasy-historical series, Maria Clara at Ibarra.
Both Kapuso stars agreed that they didn't expect fans to love their chemistry that much, as they were already paired in a previous Kapuso series Mano Po Legacy.
"So, dito [Maria Clara at Ibarra] walang expectations kasi parang wala namang anything nangyari doon sa Mano Po between the two of us, sa characters namin. So, parang dito sa Maria Clara at Ibarra, hindi naman iyon yung focus nung initial story. So sobrang nag-click na lang talaga [ang BarDa] tapos doon na umikot na ang istorya tapos consistent yung support ng mga tao," Barbie said.
Besides talking about the origin of BarDa, Barbie and David also shared what they like to each other as partners.
The former described her on-screen partner as someone sincere and genuine, which she quoted as "one of the most sincere leading men I've worked with."
Barbie also admires how unfiltered David is in the industry and how he also listens to her stories, from random to personal things.
"He really pays attention sa mga sinasabi ko. He really listens and 'pag nagbibigay ka [David] ng advice sa akin talagang para sa ikakabuti ko talaga. Na-appreciate ko yun from you [David]," the actress said.
On the other hand, David expressed his gratitude to Barbie as he admired her as an actress and his love team partner.
"Napakagaling mong artista and thank you for understanding me. Thank you for being a good love team," he said.
The actor teasingly added how good of an influence Barbie is to him at work.
He said, "Good influencer ka talaga kasi kung hindi ikaw ang nakatrabaho ko malamang mga two hours late ako so ngayon hindi na masyado."
Barbie concluded the interview with a message of gratitude for David, "To sum it all up, I'm really thankful dahil parang ikaw ang naging anchor nitong love team."
