Miss World Philippines applications

Applications for the Miss World Philippines pageant are open until April 12, 2024.

Women pursuing their pageant dreams now have another chance to do so as the Miss World Philippines has just announced that they are accepting applicants once more.

Miss World Philippines made the announcement in one of the more recent posts on their Instagram account, posting a graphic calling on “exceptionally empowered Filipinas”. In the caption to the post, the organization called on women to “embrace” their “crown” and “make a positive impact on the world”. Entries will be accepted until April 12, 2024, with the Miss World Philippines finals held in June of this year.

The call for applications comes after current reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol ended her Miss World pageant journey outside of the top 40. The Miss World pageant was held last March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.

In one of her more recent posts on Instagram, Gwendolyne shared her gratitude for the support sent her way after her Miss World performance.

“My eyes are swelling with tears trying to hold it all in so the world can see a brave woman who gave her all,” she wrote. “But like any human being, I think it is normal to admit that it is okay to be vulnerable, it is okay to be hurt, it is okay to be in shock and question myself and my capabilities.”

Despite not getting in the Top 40, Gwendolyne performed well in several of the pageant's challenges, placing in the Top 20 of the Top Model Challenge alongside delegates from Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, Martinique, Peru, Botswana, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Togo, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Scotland, Slovakia, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, and Turkey.
